Helium

Helium, (HE) is a colorless, odorless, and tasteless chemical element that exists as a gas under standard conditions. Helium is chemically inert, which means it does not readily react with other substances. Beyond party balloons, helium is critical for several high industries such as cryogenics, aerospace, manufacturing, and diving. In the welding industry, helium is a premium inert shielding gas for high thermal conductivity which allows for deeper weld penetration and faster travel speeds compared to argon. Helium can be used in MIG and TIG applications along with non-ferrous metals and laser welding.
